Lee Atkins Removals

As a Bristol-based removals company, we regularly help customers relocate across the South of England. Recently, we managed a large-scale move from Redland in Bristol to a new property near Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Because the client’s new home was still undergoing renovation work, the contents first needed to be placed into secure storage before the final delivery could be completed weeks later. To ensure the customer received a seamless service throughout, we partnered with specialists in Removals in Southampton, Lee Atkins Removals, who would later complete the final stage of the move once the property was ready.

Our team handled the initial collection and transportation from Bristol without any issues. The client was moving from a large family property and required assistance packing delicate belongings, dismantling furniture and organising items ready for temporary storage. With years of experience handling long-distance relocations, we ensured every item was carefully protected and securely loaded for the journey.

The move itself required careful coordination because there would be several weeks between the first and second stages of the relocation. Returning from Bristol weeks later to complete the final delivery would not have been practical or cost-effective for the client, so working with a trusted local partner was the ideal solution.

After researching experienced companies in the area, we were pleased to work alongside Lee Atkins Removals. Their local knowledge and professional reputation gave both us and the client complete confidence that the second stage of the relocation would be handled to the highest standards.

Communication between both companies was excellent throughout the process. Detailed inventories were created to ensure every item could be accounted for during storage and final delivery. We also coordinated access arrangements, delivery schedules and special handling requirements for fragile and valuable belongings.

The client had a mixture of antique furniture, artwork, office equipment and sentimental family possessions that required extra care throughout the move. Our team took the time to carefully wrap and protect each item before transport, ensuring everything arrived safely at the storage facility near the client’s new home.

Once the renovation work had finally been completed several weeks later, Lee Atkins Removals took over responsibility for the final stage of the move. Their team collected the client’s belongings from storage and delivered everything directly into the newly renovated property.

Because they were based locally, they were able to remain flexible around the client’s changing completion dates and decorating schedule. This flexibility made a huge difference and helped avoid additional stress during what can often be a challenging period for homeowners.

The final delivery was completed efficiently, with furniture reassembled and boxes placed into the appropriate rooms to make unpacking easier for the client. We later received excellent feedback about how smoothly the entire relocation had been handled from beginning to end.

This project highlights how valuable trusted partnerships can be within the removals industry. While we are fully equipped to manage long-distance moves ourselves, collaborating with reliable local specialists often allows us to provide customers with more flexible, practical and cost-effective solutions.

We are proud to have partnered with Lee Atkins Removals on this successful relocation and would gladly work with them again on future moves involving the Isle of Wight and surrounding areas.
